Edward Light

Edward "Light" da Silva is a human contestant from season 5 of The Magic Hat, being the 15th to be eliminated from the season.

Before joining

Born in Brazil, before joining the show, Light was a student of chromatic magic on MUFAL. After college, Light signed up for the 5th season of The Magic Hat, being the contestant with 74th most audience votes on the season, showcasing his light spells on his application video.

season 5 overview

Starting on the Providence tribe, made connections with his tribe despite the awkwardness of the first day, sharing his love of music and films. Providence then entered a small winning streak on immunity challenges, establishing Light as a valuable asset to the tribe, utilizing of smart use of chromatic and anti-axiomatic magic to help the tribe during the immunity challenges. When the providence tribe lost their first challenge during day 10 of the show, Light was already well connected with the other rabbits of the tribe, settling to vote out Anna along with Rok stahll and the rest of the "Purple" alliance. This first impactful choice made by Light, while making some players of the providence tribe more trustful of him, made others fearful Light for happily being the one to choose an elimination. On day 18, when the Merge happened, Light was invited to join the others on the "Purple" alliance, but was unable to make strong connections with most of the members of the minority Flux tribe. Around the time of the merge, the rumor in which Light was the owner of the hidden immunity idol started spreading, inflicting further damage to his reputation. On day 28, Light was up for elimination, and without the help of the now deteriorated "Purple" alliance, was voted for elimination in a 4-3 vote against Ise Yuugo.

Edward posts every once in a while on his social media, mostly commenting on movies.

Trivia

Light had the least amount of fan votes out of the players on season 5, but was able to join the season due to his chromatic magic impressing the jury. Edward almost was unable to participate due to timezones, as said by Michael during his introduction.
